Hallo. Another lovely day in Deutschland. We went to the temple this morning, down in Freiburg. That was a lot of fun. Then we went on a 14 mile run, which was a lot! We went to some grocery stores and then just hung out! Nothing super exciting but it’s good to keep a record. Anyways, today at the temple there were multiple different groups from different cultures. Many different languages were being spoken. I believe there was Turkish, Portuguese, German, English, and Russian. Something that has really stuck out to me is the power of language. It really makes a difference to be able to understand what is being said. And what is being seen. It’s especially difficult when someone doesn’t speak a common language. But at the same time, sometimes the language isn’t needed. There’s been several times that I can deduce what is being said even when I can’t understand a word. Facial expressions, tone, body language, all these things help give meaning to what is being said. It’s been very cool to see this happening. Tomorrow, just church and games! Last day day of hanging here, Berlin on Monday!
