I’m currently reading Atomic Habits by James Clear, and I am loving it. It really is a great book. It makes having good habits and breaking bad habits seem more manageable.
Sometimes it’s hard to start something new. But the steps Clear outlines in his book makes it seem simpler. He backs up the steps with science and examples. I would absolutely recommend that for anyone who is listening.
I figured since I’ve finally hit a lull in the summer where I’ll be home for an extended period of time, and I decided I want to make good use of that time. I wanted to begin writing everyday again, and publishing that. So that’s what I’m doing here. I’m going to try to use what I’ve learned in Atomic Habits with this habit of writing everyday.
Besides writing, I’m planning on really getting into the groove of my training. It’s my final cross country season, and I really want to give the best I can. I really want to be on varsity consistently and qualify to state, but those are goals that have parts that are out of my control. What I can control is giving my all, so I’m going to try my best to do that.
I also plan on getting back into work. After I took a break for about 2 weeks, coming back I realized I missed it, in a way. I do really enjoy what I do. I enjoy managing the podcasts, making sure they get published, and working on my computer. I don’t like the editing as much, but it’s good to do as well.
What’s scaring me right now is money. I’ve got to start saving for college and mission, and that’s scary because I don’t feel like I have a straight path to follow, nor do I know exactly how much I’m going to need for both those things. It’s also important to me to continue to travel internationally every year, so that just adds to my expenses. I hoping to figure out what finances is going to look for me in the future, and what I need to do know to save for the life I want to live in the future.
But anyways, that’s all for today.
